PEBC Results, Retakes and Attempt Limits
Updated · 4 min read
As at 12 Oct 2026, PEBC reports Part I (MCQ) as pass or fail only, with no score, and posts results within about 6 weeks; candidates who do not pass receive feedback by competency area about 8 weeks after results. You have 4 attempts per part (the 4th requires documented remediation) and 8 in a lifetime (PEBC, Examination Scoring and Results).
How Part I is scored
The standard is criterion-referenced: you pass by meeting the standard, not by beating other candidates. Because every candidate's form is different, PEBC equates forms so that the standard is the same whichever questions you saw. PEBC does not publish a pass mark or a passing number of questions.
